INTRODUCTION
MISSION STATEMENT
At Joong-Ang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (JAHI), we are dedicated to enabling sustainable energy transition by designing and building heavy industries products that support renewable or low-carbon energy. In particular, we focus on offshore wind (OSW) and hydrogen.
BUSINESS
Since 2000, JAHI has delivered hundreds of deckhouses, engine casings and funnels to major Korean shipyards, which continues to be our core business today. Our tradition in shipbuilding industry started in 1978 when Joong Ang Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd., a small size shipyard and one of our family companies, was founded by our founder Hyunsang Lee. To enable energy transition in shipbuilding, JAHI designs and builds various ships using carbon free or low carbon technologies, such as hybrid electric and hydrogen electric propulsions. In offshore wind (OSW) industry, JAHI manufactures substructures, such as monopiles, jackets, and floating types. JAHI also manufactures offshore electric house. As a shipyard, JAHI designs and builds vessels for OSW, such as service operation vessels (SOVs) or crew transfer vessels (CTVs).
LOCATION
Our factory is located in Daebul National Industrial Complex, one of the major clusters for shipbuilding industry in Korea. The location is convenient for transporting heavy blocks and launching ships and for obtaining various related resources.
